Biography

Harold Edwin Ray Bjur was born in Chisholm, St. Louis County, Minnesota, United States, 11 Feb 1905.[1] He was the son of John Bjur and Elin Charlotta Gustafsdotter (aka Ellen Charlotte Johnson).[1]

Harold (and his siblings, John, Lloyd, Gordon, Marguerite and Orie) resided with his parents on their farm in Hawthorne in 1910.[2] His parents then had in Hawthorne three more daughters. They had twins, 5 Aug 1912: Marie (who would live to 100)[3] and Mildred (who died in 1913).[4] They then had Martha, born in about Sep 1916.[5] Harold and his parents and surviving siblings (John, Lloyd, Gordon, Marguerite, Orie, Marie and Martha) remained on their farm in Hawthorne in 1920, though John and Lloyd worked on the railroad.[6]
