Biography

Anna Konstantia Björkgren, daughter of Sven Johan Björkgren and Johanna Sofia Johansdotter, was born on 22 May 1858 in Tingstad, Östergötland, Sweden.^[1]

She married Viktor Alexander Pfeiffer on 17 November 1877. They moved into the Norrköpings Sankt Olai Parish, Östergötland in 1886.^[1][2]

Anna and Viktor had no children of their own. After the 1894 deaths of her sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Karl Petersson, they adopted the children. The children took the surname of Pfeiffer after the adoption.^[3]

Anna appeared on the census of 1910 in Östergötland (E) County, Sweden.^[4]

Research Notes

The adoption story seems a little confused. Viktor apparently died in 1889, so could not have adopted the children in 1894. Perhaps Anna alone adopted them? Or perhaps one of the death dates is incorrect? Needs more checking.
