Louis Blériot est un inventeur et pionnier de l'aviation français. Titulaire brevet de pilote n°1 délivré en France en 1909, il est le premier à traverser la Manche en avion le 25 juillet 1909.

Louis Joseph Charles Blériot, fils de Louis Charles Pierre Alexandre Blériot et Clémence Marie Eugénie Candeliez, est né à Cambrai le 1er juillet 1872[1].
