Loretta, please do not add Elizabeth Bragg or Susanna anymore to this particular Edward Bolling. The sources are there that he did not marry nor had children. Your source of the "Blue Bollings" of an Edward Bolling's marriage must be one of the "Blue Bollings" which is a different group Bollings as cited in the Shawnee Heritage book. Also the Pocohontas Association does not recognize the "Blue Bollings" in their resources. I know this is hard for you and maybe more research will land where your Bollings come from )-:.

There is an excellent theory by the Arrington researcher that may help which was discussed in G2G. I recommend that we contact the Native American project leaders to solve this issue. Are you a member of the project?

I just saw that you are in the Titanic project. Did you know that we have a Native American project?

Shirley, the leader, is very nice and Jillaine and Jeanie Roberts, are amazing historians. I hope you join. You seem to do a lot of research.

Hi Loretta, Thanks for any imput you can find for those profiles. You are correct that most Virginians have trouble doing their genealogy because so many records are gone )-;

I am one of those people that love the Shawnee Heritage book (it's on my bookcase from my Mom's collection). But after studying genealogy in school, I found it's a bit hard to use Don's book as a source anymore. Especially since Bill Deyo, the Virginian Tribal Historian, said that it was not reliable. Bill has actually been in touch with some of our WikiTree Native American folks a few years ago when we started up that project. Here's Bill's works ( he is a really neat researcher): http://worldcat.org/identities/lccn-n2002037745/

Shawnee Heritage book can be an secondary "alernate source",

I see that you've marked a number of your ancestors' parental relationships 'confirmed with DNA'. There's one more step you need to do for each of those--put a statement on the profile of each of those people explaining how you used DNA to confirm those relationships. Here is a page that explains how to do that: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DNA_Confirmation

I can see that you've added some general statements to some of the profiles, but you haven't included the information about how the two test takers are related and how much DNA they share. That link shows you the expected format of your statements. Please let me know if I can help you with the wording of your statements. Thanks!
