DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
From my research William Black was the brother of Samuel Black (Black-3115), John Black (Black-3148) and James Black (Black-3150).
That would make his father James Black (Black-3136) and his mother Eleanor Unknown (Unknown-203282).
Does this all make sense?
Regards
Paul Thompson (descendant of William Black)
