While surfing geneology sites I reviewed a entry that stated that the children of Robert Black Jr and Jane Buchanan were James Buchanan Black,Andrew Livingston Black,Alexander Black,Robert Black,William Black,John Black Nancy Black Adams and Sarah Black Crockett, plus two unknown sisters.Does anyone have any futher information about this family group?
James Buchanan Black was married on three occasions. The first wife was Rebecca Brazil who died within the first year of their Marriage. She was the daughter of Jacob Brazil of N.C.The second was Mary Jane McCaslin who was the mother of James R, Thomas G. Sarah Jane and William Andrew. At fifty seven years of age Mary Jane(McCaslin) Black died.James Buchanan Black then married Margaret White on 11 November 1837.James and Margaret are interned in the Elm Point cemetary which is now in a cornfield in Bond county Ill.My sister has traced the genology of the children of James and Mary Janes marriage and book she entitled Echos contains information on each.We would like to here from anyone in this family line.
The parents of William Black b. 13 Nov. 1817 are Robert Black and Jane Buchanan. I(galelom_gvalleysu861572) have letters from William F. Black and Octavia Black giving some family genealogy. I(galelom_gvalleysu861572) descend from William's oldest brother James Buchanan Black b. 1799.
