James Robert R Black was born on 15 October 1825 in Kentucky, United States, son of James Buchanan Black (1799–1876) and Mary Jane (McCaslin) Black (1793–1836).
James (22) married Mary Jane (White) Black (21) on 22 February 1848 in Greenville, Bond.[1]
In 1850, James R (24) was living in Bond county, Bond, Illinois. [2]
James died on 23 August 1886 in Macon County, Illinois, aged 60.
