Amelia Seabury Black was born 29 Oct 1826 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. [1]James Adams Mathewson married Amelia on the 10 Aug 1847 with her brother-in-law, Rev. Charles DeWolf, A.M, officiating.
They were the orginal holiday visitors in Metis QC before 1867. Organized the Local Methodist Church in Metis Beach, PQ and donated the bell there. Lived at 802 Sherbrooke St. W MTL in 1871 according to the Census. Amelia is buried in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal.
