Biography

The daughter of James Blackburn (1793-1854) and Eleanor Kourts (1809-1876), Mary Ann Blackburn was born in Center Township, Ohio^{[citation needed]} in 1837, residing with her family in 1850 in Starr Township, Ohio.^[1] Her siblings included:

1. Charles Pinkney Blackburn (1836-1900)
2. Ruth Jane Blackburn (1839-1878)
3. Louisa Ellen Blackburn (1841-)
4. Margaret Ann Blackburn (1843-1907)
5. Silas Cyrus Blackburn (1845-1920)

Mary married William Charles Cammpbell, his second wife, receiving their marriage license in Athens County, Ohio on May 1, 1861,^[2] with the rites of matrimony being performed there on May 8, 1861. Their children included:

1. Eleanor Campbell (1862-1864)
2. Alexander Anderson Campbell (1864-1898)
3. Silas Clark Campbell (1866-1895)
4. William Snyder Campbell (1868-1891)
5. Sherman Campbell (1870-1872)
6. Arilla Mae Campbell (1872-1960)

8. Walter George Campbell (1881-1964)

They made their home in Ohio Township, Ohio,^[3] residing together by 1880 in Starr Township, Ohio.^[4] In 1900, they lived in Union Township, Ohio, in Van Wert County.^[5] Widowed in 1901, in 1910, Mary lived alone in Union Townshi[,^[6]

Mary Campbell passed away in Logan, Ohio^[7] at the age of 94 and is buried at Asbury Methodist Church cemetery in Starr Township, Ohio.^[8]
