When George Walter Blacker was born on April 24, 1889, in Union, Oregon, his father, George, was 32 and his mother, Ella, was 25. He married Anna Elizabeth McFadden on March 2, 1909, in Boise, Idaho. They had two children during their marriage. He died on March 6, 1976, in Halfway, Oregon, at the age of 86, and was buried there.
