A fishing boat owned by Charles Blackie (b:1788) was upset while endeavouring to make harbour, and the crew, consisting of five persons were drowned. The boat was the property of Charles Blackie, fisherman, and was manned by himself, his two sons, Charles (b: 1816) and Peter Blackie and two others. The boat was suddenly upset and all the crew sank. [The Fifeshire Advertiser, Saturday, 16th March, 1861]
