Biography

Earline was born about 1905. She is the daughter of William Blackmon and Mary Simmons.

Earline was married to Wesley Nugent in Russell County, Alabama in 1931. Wesley was from Louisiana. He worked at the Post Exchange at Ft. Benning, Georgia near Columbus. Earline was a seamstress working at a laundry. When war came to America in 1941 her husband enlisted. He was a Staff Sgt in the Army during World War II. After the war they lived in Columbus, Muscogee County, Georgia. Her husband died in 1989 and Earline died in 2003. They are both buried at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus.
