William was born in 1863.

On 03 Jun 1877 William, aged 14, leaves Plymouth, England on the 'Oaklands' for Port Adelaide, South Australia arriving 09 Sep 1877 with his parents William and Jane and 2 siblings.^[1]

William married Emma Martha Kalms in Apr 1884^[2] and had the following children;

1. Charles Henry Blackmore (1887-1952)
2. Carl Friedrich Blackmore (1889-1964)
3. Emma Mary Ann (Blackmore) Carr (1892-1965)
4. James Albert Blackmore (1893-1947)
