Veanus Donford Blackmore was born on 8 February 1868 at Rapid Bay, South Australia, the son of Johanna Callaway and William Donford Blackmore.[1]

He married Rebecca Watkins on 14 October 1895 at Sulky Gully near Creswick, Victoria.[2]

Their children were:

In 1924 Veanus Blackmore (Miner) and Rebecca Blackmore (Home Duties) lived in Sulky, Victoria.[3]

Veanus died on 5 February 1944 at Sulky [4] and was interred at the Ballarat New Cemetery and Crematorium, Methodist E, Section 1, Row 1, Grave 33. [5]
