Billy entered his public schooling in the first grade in Malakoff Elementary School in 1936. When he was in the third grade, the Malakoff High formed the Malakoff High School Band. The school system was too small at the time to have enough students wanting to play an instrument in the band, so they went down to the third grade to get students to play. Billy started playing the clarinet and played it thru the eleventh grade. All of Billy's public school yeas were in Malakoff except for his first semester in the eleventh grade, which was in Mineola High School. He talked his parents into letting him go back to Malakoff, Henderson, Texas and finish his public schooling. Billy graduated from Malakoff High School in the spring of 1947. About 20 years later he enrolled in Tyler Junior College where he majored in electronics where he graduated with honors.

  1. NOTES REGARDING MY SOURCES FOR ALL OF MY ENTRIES IN WIKITREE: On all my profiles up thru my Grandfather Alexander Hamilton Blackstock and David Harrison Reese, my sources of information came from family members and close relatives. After these profiles, my data comes mostly from a book titled "Clan Blackstock" researched and published by my 5th cousin Herbert Earle Blackstock and 5th cousin Helen Ring Womach. They did extensive research over a thirty or so year period, going to various states and also to Scotland. A lot of their work was from census reports, land deeds, and other official documents. Where applicable, I will list page numbers in this book. Book "Clan Blackstock" by Helen Ring Womack, copyright 1992, Printed by Henington Publishing Company, Wolf City, Texas in 1992.

Hi Billy,

Could you please remove Pierce County, Georgia, Cemeteries from your categories? A profile should not be placed in a high level category. You could always add it to your list of links at the bottom of your page. Many thanks, Paula

You are added to the Richardson Name study. Richardson Name Study

You will probably want to create categories for your Richardsons.

Hi Billy

Just a quick reminder from the ONS FAQ page: "Note: Never use on your profiles. This is a "top level" category that should only be placed on your surname study category page and project page. We use this category to populate the One Name Studies Index page so we can't have individual profiles cluttering it up. "

Several of your Griffin profiles have landed up on the ONS top level page. Could you remove the 'One Name Studies' category from them, please

Hi Billy-

Relationship tool says we're 24th cousins. I'm just at the beginning my fathers side so maybe it will change as cousins are ones you manage.
