Of Washington, DC passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 in his home at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Nancy Blackstone; children, Kevin Blackstone (Carolyn), Lauren Beatty, Sharon Smith (Francis), Michael Blackstone, Kevin Williams (Kizzie), Stephanie Majette and Kicha Blackstone; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Brinkley and son-in-law, Ronald B. Majette. Viewing will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 3800 Ely Place, SE, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m.
