Lillian Maud Blackwell was born in Brighton, Ontario on October 29, 1889[1]. She was the daughter of Thomas Blackwell and Martha J. Borland.
At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, Martha, Robt, Eliza, and Lilly Blackwell were listed as living in Toronto, Ontario, along with three lodgers[2].
At the time of the 1911 Canada Census, Martha, Elizebeth, and Lillian Blackwell were listed as living in Toronto[3]. At the time of the census, Lillian's occupation was listed as "Stenographer".
George Thomas, Lillian Maud, George Ronald, and Nora Elsie Slade were on the USS Lavaca, the last evacuation ship to leave Shangai as part of "Operation Magic Carpet" on October 13, 1945[4].
Lillian died in Coqutitlam, British Columbia on 30 October, 1973[5].
