"I remember that she had a huge green thumb. She loved her plants, and she could work miracles with them. When her husband built their home on Mutimer Dr., he built her a green house attached to the house. It was connected to the living room, and was a beautiful green space. She could make anything grow, her yard was filled with flower beds and my favorite was the muscadine arbor. She grew regular and golden muscadines, and they were delicious."[3]
She loved the Lord and attended a Pentecostal Church in Augusta, Georgia. She was very active there and taught Sunday School as well as kept the nursery.
Lillie died March 8 1995 in an automobile accident returning home from church.
