DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Susannah by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Susannah:
this online tree lists her as Susannah (no Mary): http://gedcom.surnames.com/burgess_jim/np66.htm & shows Lucy as one of her siblings (I just proposed merges of the profiles for Lucy's parents with the profiles for Susannah's parents).
note about DAR source... Information in the DAR database is from applications of descendants. If a son or daughter is not listed, it just means that no descendant of that son/daughter has joined the DAR based on their relationship to that descendant of the Patriot Ancestor. In other words, Moses, Thomas, and William are not the only children of John & Susannah. This page says they had 8 children (7 sons and 1 daughter).
Blackwell-2228 and Blackwell-235 appear to represent the same person because: these appear to be duplicate profiles (married to same man/birth dates & places pretty close... death dates differ a generation). please merge if you agree. Thanks!
