Biography

On 18 May 1910 at the time of the 1910 US Census, head of household Robert Blain (age 47, born in Canada) was employed as a Farmer on a General Farm and living in a home he owned with a mortgage in South Moran, Washington with his wife Emma Blain (age 36, born in Canada), daughter Grace Blain (age 14, born in ND), son Robert Blain (age 11, born in ND), son Lorne Blain (age 8, born in ND), daughter Myrtle Blain (age 7, born in ND), and son George Blain (age 2, born in WA). Robert immigrated to the USA in 1888 and was a naturalized citizen; Emma immigrated to the USA in 1874. Robert and Emma Blain had been married for 15 years; Emma had given birth to five children, five of whom were still alive. Robert's father was born in Scotland and his mother in Canada. Both of Emma's parents were born in Canada. [1]
