Margaret was born on 19 October 1789 in Cumberland Co, PA. She was the daughter of James Gillespie (Blaine) Blain and Elizabeth (Carscadden) Blaine.^[1]

She married Dr. Samuel L. Mealey on 17 Nov 1808 at Cumberland, Pennsylvania.

In the 1860 census Margaret (age 71) was in Brighton Township, Washington, Iowa, United States.^[2]

Margaret died at the age of 78 on 23 October 1867 in Brighton, Washington, Iowa.^[1]
