David was born on March 9th, 1902, on Springwell Street, Ballymena, Antrim, Ireland. He was the son of James Blair (a Plasterer) and Catherine Ross. His Birth was registered by his Mother, Catherine. [1].
David was 9 years old during the 1911 Ireland Census, living in a house 45 in Henry Street (Ballymena No. 3 Urban, Antrim) with his parents, and siblings James, Rose Mary, William and Maggie [2][3].
On November 29th, 1920, David married Ellen McAlonan in Wellington Presbyterian Church in Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland. David is recorded as a Mill Worker. The witnesses were Joseph McCauley and Anne Ballantine. [4]
David and Ellen had a wonderful daughter and 3 sons together. Sadly, Ellen passed away in 1929, before their youngest son was 2 years old.
David then married Amelia Noble on January 16, 1930 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.[5] They had two daughters and a son together.
David passed away on September 28th, 1977. [6]He is interred in Islandmagee Cemetery (Plot C7), in Islandmagee, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. [7][8]
