Obituary THE LATROBE BULLETIN Latrobe Pa. 7/21/1987 pg. 20 Newspapers.com: Edward Blair Edward Blair, 93, of North Market Street Extension, Ligonier, died Sunday, July 19, 1987, in the Bethlen Home, Ligonier Township. He was born Aug. 3, 1893, in McKees Rocks, a son of the late Winfield S. and Kathryn Septer Blair. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an engineer on the Ligonier Valley Railroad. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and Lodge 331 of F&AM, both of Ligonier; the Westmoreland Forest 77, Tall Cedars, and Coudersport Consistory, and was a charter member of VFW Post 734, Ligonier. He was a World War I veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alex in 1928. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Serena Blair; two daughters, Mrs. Donald E. (Margaret) Holzer of Ligonier and Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Shivetts of Latrobe; one son, Harry of Carnegie; seven grandchildren, and four greatgrandchildren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McCabe Funeral Home, 244 W. Main St., Ligonier. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Weo .esday in the funeral honje with his pastor, the Rev. Del Wasser officiating. Interment will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Ligonier Lodge 331 of F&AM will hold a service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. VFW Post 734 will hold a service at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
