cannot find any trace of a marriage between him and Marie Faye Sanschagrin, nor the daughter Marie. I do find a Marie Blais daughter of Jean Blais and Marie Sansquartier (which is the name usually associated with Faye/Faille), on 12 Feb 1711, baptized on same day in Trois-Rivières. There is no mention of a prior marriage for Jacques on his marriage record to Louise Angélique Cartier.
