Records appear to indicate that Myron and Howard are on in the same person.

There are no records other than the birth record for Myron Colburn.

There are no birth records for Howard Colburn, but his gravestone indicates the same birth day/month as that of Myron, but two years later. The 1900 Census shows Howard as born in 1884, and the United States, Veterans Administration Master Index, 1917-1940 shows his birthdate as July 14 1884.

Names do change after the initial registration of birth, and years could be changed in the taking of one census, especially when states have been moved across.
