Biography

Pauline Blake was the daughter of William Claiborne Blake Sr. and Hannah (Unknown) Blake. She became Prior Harvey's first wife on June 26, 1852 in Grainger County, Tennessee. Their marriage ended upon her death in 1876 at Owsley County, Kentucky. Prior Harvey then married Elizabeth Howard (Spence) in 1877.

More research is needed. A published internet listing has Pryor Harvey as marrying "Petina Blakeman" (on the same date) in the Grainger County (TN) marriage registry. Cindy Grote of Greensburg, Indiana emailed (in October, 2015) to indicate the original family name might have been "Blakemon" or "Blackman."
