Blake-3609 and Blake-45 appear to represent the same person because: similar dates, the places on -3609 are listed in the biography of -45, the lack of sources make it difficult to see that these are two different men. There is no conflict in family created by merging these two and they appear to be intended to be the same person.

DNA tests shown at the

Blake Surname Project - Y-DNA Classic Chart at the FTDNA site at: https://www.familytreedna.com/public/blake/default.aspx?section=yresults has shown that there were TWO MEN NAMED THEOPHILUS BLAKE. The Theophilus Blake who married Margaret (possibly Kennett) is NOT the Theophilus Blake who was the son of Samuel Blake and Ann Ceilly of Hampton, NH. The parents of the Theophilus Blake who was found on indenture records in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1745 and who migrated to Bath County, Virginia and Greenbrier County, West Virginia are not known at this time. But, research is ongoing to find that information.
