Richard was born about 1838, the son of John Blakely.
He married Isabella Hinds on January 18, 1860 in Ballymena, county Antrim. Both were of full age and single. He was a mariner and his father was John Blakely, farmer. Her father was Isaac Hinds, farmer. (Their places of residence are difficult to read)[1]
He was present at his wife's death in 1885 at Mill Street in Ballymena, county Antrim.
