Zachariah/Zechariah was the son of James & Miriam (Wheeler) Blakeman
He married first Elizabeth Denman, daughter of Philip & Hasadiah (Slough) Denman, on 27 Dec 1704 at New Haven, New Haven, CT - their children were Mary, Elizabeth, James & Zechariah II
After the death of his wife Elizabeth he married his second wife, Dinah (Thomas) Sherman, daughter of Daniel & Rebecca (Thompson) Thomas and widow of John Sherman, on 19 Jun 1733 at New Haven, New Haven, CT
His will is dated 10 March 1752 and proved on 5 March 1765 in Fairfield. He mentions his two sons, James, and Zachariah (both of Stratford), and his daughter Mary Coe, wife of Ebenezer Coe.[1]
