When John Blakeslee was born on December 15, 1723, in New Haven, Connecticut, his father, Moses, was 45 and his mother, Sarah, was 38.  He married Olive Curtis on March 4, 1745, in Waterbury, Connecticut.  They had 11 children in 23 years. He died on February 22, 1776, in Plymouth, Connecticut, at the age of 52.
