Biography

Ruth was born in 1744 in Woodbury or Roxbury, New Haven, CT.[1] An alternate birth year of 1730 is probably incorrect given that her mother was born in 1722.[2] Ruth married Edward Collins on 15 June 1763 in New Milford, Connecticut, United States.[3]

They had at least 9 children: Enos, Abigail, Japhet, Israel, Samuel, Joseph, Therza Hannah, David and Ruth. By 1790, they had settled in Coxsackie, NY.[4] They still lived there in 1800.[5] When Edward registered his will in 1802, Ruth was still living.[6]
