Col. Nehemiah Blakiston[1], b. abt. 1636; d. 11 Dec 1693[2]
Occupation: Attorney, Surveyor, Comptroller General, Acting King's Attorney, Chief Justice of Provincial Court, Speaker of the Assembly, 1691, Chancellor and Commissary General, Coroner, 4th son.[3]
Father: John Blakiston, Esq. of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, baptized at Sedgefield, Durham 21 Aug 1603.
Mother: Susannah (Susan) Harrison, widow of Roger Chambers[4]
Occupation: Member of Parliament, for Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1641; Mayor of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1645.
Spouse: Elizabeth Gerard, daughter of Thomas Gerard, Gent. of St. Clements, Basford and Westwood Manors, St. Mary's County, Maryland and Westmoreland County, Virginia [see GERARD 19 for her Ancestry, Richardson, Douglas; Royal Ancestry][5]

They do appear to be the same person, same birth and birth place, death and death place, same marriage and marriage date. The difference is the spelling of the last name.

Seems the name has been spelled Blakiston. So the merge should go into the PPP profile, Blakiston-11. Thanks!

His mother is correctly named in the data field at the top of the page, Susannah Harrison.
