Thomas Blakiston, Esq was born circa 1510 at Blakiston, Norton, Durham, England.[10][11][12]; b. c 1466. He married Elizabeth Place, daughter of John Place, Esq and Katherine Surtees, circa 1533 at Croft, Yorkshire, England; They had three sons, John, Esq., Humphrey and Marmaduke, and three daughters, Margaret, wife of Cuthbert Middleton, Esq., Dorothy, wife of George Dent, Esq. and Margery, wife of FrancisBaynbrigg, Gent. [13][14]. Thomas Blakiston, Esq. died in 1557 at Norton, Durham, England.[15][16][17]; b. c 1466, [18][19]

Elizabeth Place was born circa 1512 at of Halnaby, Croft, Yorkshire, England.[36] She married Thomas Blakiston, Esq., son of William Blakiston, Esq. and Anne Conyers, circa 1533 at Croft, Yorkshire, England. They had three sons, John, Esq.,Humphrey and Marmaduke, and three daughters, Margaret, wife of Cuthbert Middleton, Esq. and Dorothy, wife of George Dent, Esq., and Margery, wife of FrancisBaynbrigg, Gent.[37][38]. Elizabeth Place died after 1552.[39][40].
