Jerome was born on 12 April 1793 in Iberville, Louisiana, and was baptized on 27 May 1793 in St. Gabriel, Iberville, Louisiana. [1] He was the son of Jerome Blanchard and Marine Clouâtre.

He married Marie Marceline Orillon on 18 February 1811 in St. Gabriel, Iberville. [2][3] [4]

Were present Joseph Orillion father of the bride, Godfrey Roth, Charles (?) and Pierre Lacroix.
