American Civil War. Military 12 Apr 1861-22 Jun 1865. United States. Note: He enlisted as a Private on January 5, 1865 in Louisville, KY. He enlisted in the 17th Kentucky Cavalry, Company D on February 6, 1865. He mustered out on September 20, 1865 in Louisville, KY. 17th Regiment Cavalry Organized at Russellsville, Ky., April 25, 1865. Attached to Military Dept. of Kentucky and assigned to duty at Hopkinsville, Ky., and in Southern Kentucky, along Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Mustered out September 20, 1865.
