Alexis Marin Blanchard was born about 1725 in Cobequit, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia, son of Joseph Blanchard and Anne Dupuis. [1]
Alexis (27) married Marie Pitre (30) (born in Cobequit; daughter of Jean Baptiste Pitre and Marguerite Theriot) on October 29, 1753 in Port Lajoie, Ile St. Jean, Acadie.
They had four children known children.
He disembarked with his wife at St. Malo on 23 Jan 1759 from one of the "Five ships." Immediately after disembarkation, they were hospitalized at Hotel-Dieu of St. Malo. Alexis died on 3 Feb 1759 at Hotel-Dieu, St. Malo, Bretagne (today Ille-et-Vilaine), France, at the age of about 34 years. He died one day before his youngest daughter was born, died, and was baptized at Hotel Dieu. His wife would also die a week later on February 11th. No member of this family survived Le Grand Dérangement.[2][3][4]
