Amos Blanchard was the son of George Monroe Blanchard (1849–1925) and Hattie E. Lawrence (1852–1904).[1]
He married Hattie Maria Newell (1879–1939) on 12 December 1900 in Ashby, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[2] They had two sons:

Arthur Leon Blanchard (1906–1975)
In 1910 Amos was a teamster working for a turning mill in Ashby.[3]
In 1920 he was working as a laborer on a farm in Lunenburg Township, Worcester County, Massachusetts.[4]
By 1930 when he was age 50, the boys had moved out. Amos and Hattie were living in Haddam, Middlesex County, Connecticut. He was working as a gardener for a private family.[5]
Amos died in August 1965 at age 59 and was buried back in his hometown in West Cemetery, Ashby, Middlesex County, Massachusetts (Plot: Lot 19, Section 1, Avenue 1).[6]
