Thomas was born about 1700. He passed away about 1777.
Thomas was born in 22 Feb 1729 to John and Eliza Blanchet. He was baptized 10 May 1830 [1] [2]
Both Thomas Sr and his son Thomas appear in the North Carolina Tax Lists:

Thomas died after his will was made dated 15 April 1806 and before August 1806. Warren County Court Records state:
(11) THOMAS BLANCHARD Will proved on oaths of Samuel Alston and William R. Marshall;
Judah Blanchard qualified as admrx. with the will annexed, Aug. Ct., 1806.
(12) JUDAH BLANCHET Inventory by Samuel Alston, Esq., Feb. Ct., 1807. [4]
It took until 1810 to finalize it, so there are two probate files. One started 28 August 1806 with Judah Blanchard as administrator. [5] and inventoried 16 February 1807. [6] Judah died before the probate was finalized. The second attempt at probate was started 28 May 1810 with James Gilbert as administrator. [7]

I Thomas Blanchett being of perfect mind and memory blessed be God and calling to mind that it is appointed to man once to die and not knowing how soon my change may come do this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and six Make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. I Will that my Just debts be honorably discharged and my funeral expenses paid. I lend unto my beloved Wife Judah Blanchett the plantation Whereon I now live together with all the lands thereunto adjoining which is at present in my possession With the use of Negro Man Stephen also my stock of Horses Cattle sheep and Hogs Together with the Whole of my House Hold and Kitchen furniture except such as I may hereafter give away (to her during her natural life). It is also my desire that my Wife should give unto my daughter Nancy Blanchett one Feather bed and furniture either at her death or before as she may think proper. And It is moreover My desire that she should give unto my Grand Son Phil Blanchett Son of My Daughter Nancy Blanchett one other Feather bed and furniture. I give to my daughter Nancy Blanchett one Horse or Mare such as She may make choice of out of the stock at the death of her Mother And it is also my desire that she should make choice of one other out of S? [perhaps a shortened form of the word "said" or "such"] stock for the use of her Son Philip Blanchett. I Give unto my daughter Nancy Blanchett my Desk to dispose of as she may think proper at my death. I give unto my Grand son Philip Blanchett son of my Daughter Nancy Blanchett all that part of my lands heretofore lent my Wife including my Negro Man Stephen with a request that if my Daughter Nancy Blanchett should remain Single She may have the benefit of both land and Negro Until her son Phil comes of age provided my wife dies previous thereto, but not otherwise. I give to my Daughter Nancy Blanchett one cow and calf which she now claims and at my death it is my desire that she should have one other cow and calf such as she may make choice of. I also give unto my grand Son Philip Blanchett one cow and calf such as his Mother May Select for him out of my Stock at the same time. And it is my Wish that the residue of the stock of all sorts should be sold at the death of My Wife, and the money arising from such sale to be equally divided between My Daughter Nancy Blanchett and [her] Son, And the children of my Two Daughters Elizabeth Gilbert, and Sally Bennett, Not including my Grand Son Turner Blanchett. I desire that such of the House Hold and Kitchen furniture as has not been given away Should be distributed by my Wife as she May think proper at her death.
And I do hereby appoint my friends Samuel Alston and Jos [Joseph] Jno [John] Williams Jr. Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and year above Written.
