Biography
Norman was born in 1898. He is the son of Tom Blanchett and Fanny Partington.
Norman was working as a Farm hand when the 1st World War broke out. He enlisted and served as a Private with the 39th Reinforcements, B Company, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, His next of kin was recorded as T.B. Blanchett (father), Vogeltown, New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand.
EMBARKATION DETAILS WW1 13 Jun 1918-31 August 1918 to Liverpool, Merseyside. HMNZT 106. Vessel was Athenic.
He returned from the war and married Mary Louisa McMillan in 1924.
Norman passed away in 1970 at the age of 71.
