Hi Glenn,

Thanks for joining us! I'm David, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Blanchette-252 and Blanchette-44 appear to represent the same person because: I am Glenn Blanchette. Both of these profiles are me. I have been out of touch and am now rejoining Wiki tree. Recent family circumstances have created a more urgent need to discover my family.

Glenn --

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members. As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Tomorrow, you'll hear from a Mentor who will check in to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.

Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.

You can also meet some of our members by joining in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum: [https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/360737

What is your most memorable genealogical discovery?

Welcome!

Glenn,

Welcome to WikiTree! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is unlike any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, so we all work together as one collaborative team.

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to tell us about your genealogical interests as you join.

Once you volunteer to help build our global tree, our greeters will confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

Welcome to the family! We’re really glad you’re here.

I sent a request to be added to the trusted list for Edna Goguen Maillet"s profile on May 29. Edna was the sister to my great grandmother Elizabeth Goguen. I would like to add her as a sister to Elizabeth and her siblings and as a daughter to her parents Philippe Augustin Goguen and Marie Louise Leger but I do not want to create a duplicate. The date of birth is the same and her husband's name and date of birth is the same as the information I have. I have additional information and sources but I can not join her to my tree or add additional information unless I am added to her profile's trusted list.

Congratulations ! You have now been a WikiTree member for awhile now! Here are some further ideas to help you make the most of our site.

Beyond The Basics of WikiTree is a guide to some more advanced features of WikiTree. If you would like to help out in other areas, the opportunities can be found at Volunteers or you can become a greeter. If you haven’t found us already, WikiTree is active on many Social Sites . We also have a blog with news of WikiTree events and further ideas from WikiTree members. If you have any questions, you can contact me via my profile page. Maggie

Thank you, Glenn, for volunteering to help grow our worldwide family tree. There are a few links on my profile page that might help you in your search.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the drop-down boxes on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree
