Biography
John was born in 1841. He was the son of Loftus Bland and Charlotte Grove Annesley.
He married Alice Hotham (daughter of Captain George Hotham and Amelia Hawksworth) on 2 July 1862. They had at least one son; Humphrey.
Census 1871: Living with his wife Alice and son Humprey in Sandgate, Cheriton, Kent, England. Aged 29.
Occupation: Captain
Alice passed away in 1898.
He married, secondly, Georgina Augusta West, daughter of George White West and Georgiana Grove Annesley, on 27 July 1899.
He gained the rank of Captain in the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons.
John held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) and the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)
He lived at Blandsfort, Abbeyleix, County Laois, Ireland.
He passed away in 1908 at the age of 66.
