Biography

Henry was born in 1776.

He married Sarah Ann Mason on 21 Apr 1836 in Hopkinsville, Christian, Kentucky.^[1]

In the 1880 census, he is stated to be 89 years of age, which would make him born in 1791. His wife Sarah is 30 years younger, with an estimated year of birth of 1821, consistent with her year of birth as given on Find A Grave^[2]

He passed away in 1896 at 120 years of age. Newspapers across the country carried an obituary that characterized him as the oldest man in Kentucky, and gave highlights of his life.^[3]
