"The name of Pioneer John Ferrells wife as being Annie?" "I don’t know if that is known for sure yet." "It is supposed by other researchers with no positive proof that I am aware. " Source: E-mail from Kem Farr, Ferrell Family Historian

"First off, there is an 80 year old woman living in Sink Creek area next to Annie Ferrell Pattersons brother Alexander Calhoun Ferrell named Jane Ferrell. A C Ferrell is the last born son. Then there is the matter of Pioneer John Ferrells land from 1824 at Hurricane Creek that gets transferred from John Blanton from 1814 to him. It later gets put on line of heirs record and transferred to my ggg grandfather Charles Ferrell." - Kem Farr

"It is my Supposition that John Ferrells wifes name is Jane Blanton. Want to know more why? Well Jane is living next door to Alexander Calhoun Ferrell in 1840 and has deceased by 1850 census. Also, the Hurricane Creek property is the only one I show owned by (Pioneer John Ferrell) and I think the land transfer came from his father in Law John Blanton. Know why? Because when Annie Ferrell Pattersons - sister ( Margaret Peggy Ferrell) husband - Claiborn Gunter dies in 1836 - his will rec shows that William Blanton will farm his land and have access to some furniture etc and to farm for his wife. The point is that one - most men would not set up farming his land for his wife to a stranger. Second since he is a Blanton, then I believe it is on his wifes mothers side of the family or it would be a Ferrell or a Gunter. " - Kem Farr

"If that is not enough then go to the county recs and pull up the will of Joel Blanton and check the witness names on the docs. You will find Annies Ferrell Pattersons brother in laws names. " - Kem Farr Source: E-mail from Kem Farr, Ferrell Family Historian
