Son of George Blatch of Saint John.[1] He was the first parliamentary stenographer in N.B.; later barrister at St. John, N.B. Probably the F.K. Blatch who documented the Rockport, New Brunswick grindstone industry for the Canadian Illustrated News (1872).[2] Married twice, he died in Ottawa in 1902.
