When Charles 'Charlie' Samuel Blatt was born on May 16, 1880,[1] in Missouri, his father, Joseph, was 60 and his mother, Dicey, was 44. He lost his father when he was only an infant and his mother remarried to George W. H. Moore (1821-). Charlie married Anna 'Annie' Gilliland (1879-1936) on November 18, 1899, in Jackson, Missouri.[2] He died sometime between 1930[3] and 1936, when Annie died (she is marked as a widow on her death certificate).[4]
