William Blaumann was born on 11 November 1859 in Germany.[1] He immigrated on 12 December 1883 in Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland, United States.[2] He married Wilhelmine (Lunau) Blauman (abt.1865-bef.1930) and they settled in Ohio. Together they had eleven children.
In the 1910 census William (age 50) was the married head of household in Cleveland Ward 23, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States. Eight of his children were living at home with him and his wife. He worked as a blacksmith's helper.[3]

In the 1920 census William was 60 years old, working as a blacksmith, living in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States.[4] By the time the 1930 census was taken, William was 70 years old, living with his wife and one of his daughters in Cuyahoga, Ohio.[5]
William died on 24 May 1950 and was buried in Mayfield Heights, Cuyahoga, Ohio, United States. He was 91 years old.[6]
