Biography

William was probably born about 1734 in Middlewich, Cheshire, as this is where his parents lived (noted on his burial record).

At the time of his marriage he worked as a blacksmith and lived in Witton, some 8 km north.

He married Ann Rylance (known as Nancy) at Witton Parish Chapel on 21 Feb 1762. [1]

From birth and burial records it appears that William and Ann had at least 6 children. [2]

Willliam died in August 1782, aged 48. [3]
