Richard immigrated to the United States in 1892 [2] and started his new life as a tea merchant. [3]
Richard died on 26 July 1940 in Ryde, Isle of Wight.[4] His heirs were Caroline Louisa Copp (wife of Alexander Foreman Copp), Hugh Frederick Masters and John Gerald Fardell.
