Stokely and Lucy were enumerated on a farm during the 1880 census in Union Township, Webster County, Missouri. A boarder, Henry Hudgens, age 13, was also living with them as a farm laborer.[5]
They and their children were living in Sugar Creek Township, Barry County, during the 1900 census. Stoke's occupation was Railroad laborer. Their home was rented, and they could read, write and speak English. They lived next door to the family of Lucy's brother, Tom Anderson.[3]
Stokely D. Bledsoe died at age 78 of Bright's disease on 9 May 1929, and was buried the next day at New Salem Cemetery in Seligman, Barry County, Missouri.[1][2]
