Biography

Daniel was born in 1793. He passed away in 1870. Was born with last name Bleiler or Blyler but German accented English and phonetic spelling changed the surname. It was adopted likely because they accepted the spelling or that it was in use on deeds and records.

Daniel Bleiler, aka Blyler, aka Plyler. The surname morphed to Plyler from the influence of accented English and phonetic spelling in the record keeping. Attached image is from the 1820 census where a lack of ink on the pen left the B in Blyler appearing as a P. Thus P
